For fantasy writers
Plan and write your fantasy novel with AI
Describe your world and your story in a sentence or two. FictionAI drafts a story bible (world, cast, chapter outline) that you edit, then writes each chapter with that bible in view.
3 books free, no credit card. AI use is billed by OpenRouter to your own account.
What you get for a fantasy book
A world you can edit
Setting, time period, key locations and the rules of your world (magic, gods, curses) in one card. Rewrite any of it, or regenerate it with an instruction.
A cast with arcs
Protagonist, antagonist and supporting characters, each with a description, backstory, motivation and arc.
A chapter outline
A summary, key events and a closing hook for every chapter. Reorder, add or remove chapters before you write.
Chapters that remember
Each chapter is written from the story bible and the chapters before it, so names, places and rules carry through.
Series planning
On Pro ($9.99/month), group books into a series with a shared world and cast; each new book is built with them as context.
Fantasy defaults
Choosing Fantasy, Epic Fantasy or Urban Fantasy pre-fills point of view, tone, story shape, themes and tropes. Change any of them.

Questions
Can AI write a good fantasy novel?
It can write a solid first draft that you then shape. FictionAI plans the book first (world, cast, outline) and writes one chapter at a time from that plan, so you review and edit as you go. The quality depends on the model you choose and on your edits.
How does FictionAI handle magic systems?
Your story bible has a world card with a "rules" field. Write your magic system there (its costs, limits and who can use it) and every chapter is written with it in the prompt. There is no separate magic-system builder.
Does it support epic fantasy series?
Yes, on Pro. A series has its own outline, cast and world, and each book in it is planned with the series world and cast as context.
What fantasy subgenres are supported?
Fantasy, Epic Fantasy and Urban Fantasy are built-in genres with their own defaults. For anything else (grimdark, LitRPG, portal fantasy) type it as your genre and describe it in the pitch and notes.
Can I build custom fantasy worlds?
Yes. The world card holds your setting, time period, locations and rules. Generate it from your pitch, then edit or regenerate it with an instruction such as "make the capital a river city".
