Edit or regenerate

The chapter streams into the editor, written from the story bible and the earlier chapters.
Continue, rewrite, revise

Write the rest
"Write all remaining chapters" drafts them one at a time. Stop any time; a chapter cut off by the model offers Continue.

AI feedback on the whole book with suggested revisions, and a final review pass.

Every edit saves automatically. Text typed offline is kept on the device and syncs when you reconnect.

Questions
What makes FictionAI different from other AI writing tools?
It plans the whole book before writing: one action builds an editable story bible (premise, world, cast, chapter outline), and every chapter is written from it and from the chapters before. The AI runs on your own OpenRouter account, with the cost shown before and after each action.
How does the 7-step wizard work?
The old seven-step wizard has been replaced by three screens: the Idea screen (genre and pitch), the story bible (built in one action, then edited), and the writing workspace (chapters, revisions, editorial review and export).
What genres does FictionAI support?
25 listed genres, including Fantasy, Romance, Mystery, Thriller, Science Fiction, Horror, Historical Fiction and Young Adult, or any genre you type. Each listed genre pre-fills point of view, tense, tone, story shape, themes and tropes, plus a heat level for romance genres.
Can I use my own AI models?
Yes. You connect your own OpenRouter account and pay OpenRouter directly. Pick Fast, Balanced or Best, or choose any OpenRouter model per task in Settings → Advanced. Adult-content models are available on Pro.
How does series management work?
On Pro, create a sequential, standalone (same universe) or mixed series with its own outline, cast and world. Each book in the series is planned with the series world and cast as context.
