Both leads and the supporting cast get a description, backstory, motivation and arc you can edit or regenerate.

On Pro ($9.99/month), plan a series with a shared world and cast; each book is built with them as context.
Adult content on Pro
Adult-content models need the Pro plan and the adult-content setting in Settings → Advanced. The Erotic heat level is meant for use with that setting on.

Yes, within limits you set. Romance genres have a heat level (Sweet, Sensual, Steamy, Erotic). For explicit scenes, turn on adult content in Settings → Advanced (Pro, $9.99/month), which unlocks adult-content models. Results depend on the model: many decline explicit requests.
What romance tropes does FictionAI support?
The Romance genre offers trope chips such as enemies to lovers, fake dating, second chance, forbidden love, forced proximity, grumpy x sunshine, small town and marriage of convenience, and you can add your own. The chosen tropes go into the story bible and chapter prompts; there are no per-trope templates.
Can I write a romance series with FictionAI?

Is my romance content private?
Your books are only visible in your account, and your OpenRouter key is stored encrypted. Generation requests go to the model provider through OpenRouter under your account, so their data policies apply; you can check and change those in your OpenRouter settings.
